They were all played on 6-10-76 at Boston Music Hall

http://www.archive.org/details/gd76-06-10.moore.minches.18425.sbeok.shnf

They're all Garcia/Hunter songs

They're all songs Jerry sings

I was going to say that JGB did all of them too, but I don't think they did Might as Well

I can't think of anything else though...

Damn, no "Keep on Chooglin"? Or was that a song title? Maybe just a line from a song of CCR's...can't recall.

Having put some thought into it and explored various lines of research, I am hoping that after whatever appropriate time passes you will share your answer. These songs were all on Jerry solo albums, and performed by the Dead, but that true of more than just these four songs. (Mission was only played by the GD five times in June 76.) Maybe something in the lyrics?

I listened to this on Saturday night with a newly-found fan. He almost exclusively listens to 77 onwards so our friendship may get strained ;) but 76 was a fair compromise.

"...'he' (?) listens exclusively to 77 and beyond..."

Well, okay...whewww...was worried for a moment...but, this sounds like some wimpy, Brent lovin weakling that I shouldn't have any real trouble with (hmmm...Brent lovin weakling...where the heck is Dire anyway?).
